Why stay in a Log Pod?
- Ideal for a weekend away for 2, but will also accommodate a small family
- They’re fully insulated, helping to keep them cool when it’s hot, yet warm and cosy when it’s cooler
- The porch is perfect to cook under – or to just pull up your chair, sit back, relax and watch the world and boats go by … even when it’s raining!
- Takes the hassle of pitching a tent …
- … and of course there’s no risk of having to take a wet tent home!
- They’re great for those who want to come camping but feel they would like something a little more sturdy a tent,
- and they’re perfect for light sleepers who are easily disturbed by noise at night – whether it’s wildlife or someone snoring in a nearby tent.

Log Pod bits 'n' bobs
To give maximum flexibility of accommodation, our Log Pods are unequipped and unfurnished – you will need to bring all your own choice of camping equipment – except your tent of course.
(Please do not be fooled by the sockets and light switches in the log pods – they come as standard but we’re a back to basics campsite and there is no electric hook up for the log pods, tent or campervan pitches.)
That partly depends on the size of your air-beds or sleeping mats. 4 single air-beds will fit comfortably – but there won’t be much room for anything else – or 1 double and 2 single airbeds.
If you want to use king-size air beds or squeeze in a 5th person, we suggest you check your sleeping mats/airbeds to see if they will fit. Internal dimensions are as follows: 3,350 x 2,285 (11” x 7’6”)
Information about what we have and what we don’t have in the way of facilities can be found on the ‘Campsite facilities’ page under the Barefoot Facts tab
Please do not be fooled by the light switches in the log pods – we’re a back to basics campsite and there is no electric hook up for the log pods, tent or campervan pitches.
Acoustic guitars, tin whistles and other ‘quiet’ instruments are welcome, but it’s a big NO-NO for amplified music – CD players, radios etc. Whilst you no doubt enjoy the music you are playing, the sound can carry and be incredibly annoying to other campers who have come here to relax and unwind. No drums either please!

Tents can be pitched next to the Log Pods if there is sufficient space, but Campervans will need to pitch in the adjacent field.
Dogs are allowed on the campsite (subject to our doggy code) but are not allowed in the Log Pods – sorry!
