The Thames Path follows the River Thames for 184 miles from its source in the Cotswolds to London and the English Channel.
Although close to Oxford, along this stretch of the Thames between Newbridge (upstream) and Oxford (downstream), there is a real sense of remoteness and rural tranquillity as the river winds its way through flat water meadows grazed by cattle, sheep and wild geese.

From Northmoor Lock, it’s a pleasant 45 minute walk upstream to Newbridge and the Rose Revived pub and a 30 minute walk downstream to Bablock Hythe and the Ferryman Inn.
